A short interview with our Marketing Manager, Natasha Bowers
Recently, we spoke with Natasha Bowers, our Marketing Manager at the Hartree Centre North East Hub. Natasha handles all of our marketing and communications for the Hartree Centre North East Hub and also creates the case studies that you can see on the website. She tends to come along to a lot of the events we host, so you may have met her at one of those.
Interview with Natasha, Marketing Manager at the Hartree Centre North East Hub
Of course, essentially I handle all of the marketing and communications for the Hartree Centre North East Hub. This includes creating social media posts for our LinkedIn page, sending out email newsletters (you can subscribe here), taking photos at events, writing blog content for our website, and creating all of the case studies from our long term data projects.
Most of the time, I am promoting our data projects and our fully funded events, which are all focused around giving organisations the knowledge, confidence and tools to use their data more effectively. It has been a really interesting few years working on this programme and I have honestly learnt so much from all of my lovely colleagues.
I think the most rewarding part of my role has been speaking to all of the organisations about their data projects whilst capturing the video content for the case studies. I really like to hear about how the project has come to life over the twelve weeks, learn a little bit more about what the team are looking to achieve, and see how the project has actually enabled them to harness their data, innovate and grow. It is really great to see organisations to come along to one of our workshops, realise the untapped potential of their data, and then successfully apply to our data projects to begin to pursue those new opportunities.
Don’t be afraid of data. If you are an organisation that is currently doing nothing with your data, come along to one of our workshops and realise what you can do with it, I think you will be surprised at how much it can effect your productivity, innovation and resilience.
I love reading in my spare time. Last year I read over 100 books.
